Overview

Company History:
Transcom, Inc. is a microwave device and subsystem company founded in 1998. Headquartered in the Tainan Science-Based Industrial Park, Taiwan. Thecompany's expertise is on design and mass production of high performance GaAs devices for both high power and low noise applications. Standard processes include0.25 um and 0.5 um PHEMT, HFET & MESFET.

Our policy assures that customers can depend on Transcom for their long-term supply of GaAs devices at the lowest market price.


Facility:
Transcom occupies a new, custom built, 27,000 square foot facility located inside the Tainan Science-Based Industrial Park, Taiwan. The processing clean room is a 5,000square foot, class 100, facility. Transcom is capable of producing 15,000 wafers per year, generating more than 30 million pieces of MMICs and GaAs FETs for the wireless communication industry.


Products:
Transcom's GaAs FETs product line offers devices with gate width of 160 um, 300 um, 600 um, 1.2 mm, 2.4 mm, 5 mm and 12 mm. All small signal devices are processed with 0.25 um gate. Devices with gatewidth larger than 1.2 mm can be processed with either 0.25 um or 0.5 um gate. This provides the flexibility for improving yield, and lowering cost, when devices are needed only for low frequency operation. Our PHEMT devices are fabricated with a proven technology that demonstrates both low noise and high dynamic range. Device performance has been proven to be among the best in the industry.

 

Based on our PHEMT technology, Transcom has successfully developed product lines of MMICs. These MMICs include a 1W Ku-Band MMIC, a 2.4 GHz 1W MMIC and a 2.4 GHz 2W MMIC. Detail information on these MMICs can be found in our product data section. The 2.4 GHz MMIC is now in full production as well as the Ku-Band MMIC.


Besides GaAs FETs & MMICs, Transcom also has the in house design capability for sub-system development. Our standard amplifier products include wide band fiber optic driver, C-band and Ku-band medium to high power amplifiers . Besides standard products, Transcom also offers MMIC foundry services.
